My story

Pugalo's adoption fee is $350.

Pugalo is one fantastic pup! He’s a 3 yr. old male Shih Tzu mix that weighs about 13 pounds, and he’s neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro chipped. This little guy loves to love, in fact he’s come to expect affection from all strangers he meets. He gravitates to his walker’s left side while walking and rarely pulls on the leash. He knows to wait until his walk to do his business and isn’t often in a rush to get outside - until he sees his leash that is - as he doesn't drink a whole lot.

He’s house trained, is fine being left loose when you are out, and knows how to sit and come. And although he doesn’t know many commands, he’s an incredibly mannered dog that is very sweet and very gentle. (He even had a 6month old human kicking him in the face repeatedly and that only made him lick her toes more!)

Pugalo does have resource guarding issues that are only manifested with items like rawhide, but care should be taken when giving him high value treats. His foster dad has been working with this and has made great progress, but he would not be suitable for a home with children, and his new family should be prepared to continue with training to correct this behavior.
