Jelly Belly's Story...
Jelly Belly's Story...
Poor little Jelly Belly was turned in as a stray at a high kill shelter. She was in terrible shape and no one wanted this poor little girl. We rescued her and now she is safe and happy. We have her on a good diet and she is doing great. Jelly Belly is about 4 years old, and weighs 46 pounds. She is good with other dogs but likes to be in charge, so she would be best as an only dog or someone with bully breed experience. She likes to chase cats so a home without cats would be best. She can be shy at times when meeting new people but once she warms up, she will sit on your lap for pets and love. She is an active dog and will need an owner who has the time to train and exercise her. Jelly Belly is looking for someone who will love her forever.
We are a not-for-profit animal rescue organization. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters, many of them the day they are to be euthanized and give them a second chance at life. We also rescue stray dogs and abandoned animals and find loving homes for them.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have an actual facility. Our dogs are in foster homes until their forever homes are found. We usually hold our adoption events at Petco 2-3 Saturdays a month from 1:30pm-4pm. Please contact us for our schedule and if you would like to meet one of our dogs. Please keep in mind our schedule changes from time to time so please contact us directly to confirm, NOT Petco.
Our Adoption Process...
The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application on our main website prior to coming to meet the animal(s) you are interested in. The application can be found at www.smoochpoochrescue.com and will give us an idea if the animal will be a good match for you, your family and lifestyle. We also require an adoption contract, adoption fee and home visit. We DO NOT operate on a first come basis but rather the best suited home for our animals.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
