Meet Fella -
3 weeks ago a man called me to say he had a dog living under his house and he was really worried. He called the SPCA, they went out and told him the dog was a Bullmastiff with some kind of skin infection, they would not take the dog and the man simply did not know what to do. So together over the following weeks we worked with both he and the dog to get the dog to come out from under the house and start to trust people again. Mr. L did a remarkable job !!! And on 4-25 we were able, without force or a trap to get Fella to come out, get him in the car and to a Vet.
Fella is a young Bullmastiff mix, 60lbs with a terrible flea infestation, which he is being treated for . He is sweet and playful and was so traumatized that he had just given up on people. He had crawled under a house and was waiting to die.
WE got him out and his world is looking very bright !!
We had him Vetted yesterday, he is now UTD on all shots, he will be neutered in a week.
It is so inspiring to see an dog transform like Fella has, from so super afraid to totally cute and ready to play. We do not know what kind of trauma or abuse Fella went through, but what we do know is Fella is starved for human kindness, he is curious and playful and ready to be a par of a family. He ius young, maybe 16m mo old, he is on the low/med scale of HW positive and has most likely never been to the Vet. He did so well, by the way !!! He rides great in a car, walk well on a lead and ignores cats...but LOVES to chase flies.
