Woody - energetic young male Pug / Terrier's Story...

Young Pug Mix Male

Woody is a young male, appears to be about 2 years and 30 pounds. Perhaps a Pug / Terrier mix. Solid tan, with some black around the nose. Woody is energetic and likes to play with other dogs - all the time.  His ambition may annoy some dogs.

Woody absolutely loves people, and walks right up to anyone and expects a belly rub.

Woody is highly energetic and takes 15 - 30 minutes to calm down.  Human family members must be assertive to teach Woody the rules of the house and to not jump on other pets or people.

Woody may do well with a pet companion, or may do well as an only dog. He does enjoy playing with other dogs, but can be nervous around bigger dogs, and they in turn can be annoyed by him. His nemesis is a heeler who thinks Woody should be better composed.

Woody is good at going under and around wire fencing, so any fencing should be tight. An apartment may work, if he is leashed whenever outside.

Give Woody a belly rub today!

We always appreciate temporary homes and volunteers. Please contact us. IowaPetAdoptions.com

About Iowa Pet Adoptions

About Our Rescue Group...

Iowa Pet Adoptions is a private home based animal welare group. Our goal is to help people, help pets, and help pet owners be better pet owners.

Our Adoption Process...

Our goal is to have a brief, yet accurate, adoption process.

If you have an interest in a pet, please contact us. We will be happy to answer questions and hopefully meet the pet.

We have an online application which takes 15 minutes to complete. We ask for a vet reference, living situation, and a list of current pets.

We send a letter to your home address, to verify you live there. We contact the vet. The application can be verified in one or two days.

We trust that most people who want to adopt are good pet parents, but we also take the welfare of pets seriously.

We do not have home inspections, but we do like to bring the pet to your home. All pets must be indoor, family pets. The single exception may be barn cats. We have not had barn cats to date, but we will require these cats to receive medical care, provided food, water, and shelter.

Our adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $75. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies and core vaccines, tested for heartworm (dogs), tested for FeLV / FIV (cats) as appropriate.
