Purrl's Story...
I was adopted back in 2008 by a wonderful family. I got all the love I could want, had my own small dog to play with, and life was wonderful. Unfortunately my humans had to start working long hours and were gone for days – “traveling for business” they called it. Because I’m such a cuddle-bug and crave human attention, I missed them terribly and, wanting to do the best thing for me, they made the extremely tough decision to give me up. I was the official hostess to all our guests, running to the door to see who was coming to visit me, giving them a proper greeting, allowing them to admire my beauty, and I’ve never met a lap I don’t think I belong in! I’m exceptionally social and outgoing, am definitely a lap kitty during your TV time, love to snuggle up with you at bedtime, and enjoyed wrestling and playing chase with my dog-friend. While I don’t have much torti-tude, I do let you know when I’ve had enough of your attention by gently putting my teeth on you – not biting, but just giving you a warning that I’ve had enough. I also do this if you pet my rump--I don’t like that. Other than those quirks, I’m incredibly sweet and loving and will be a delightful addition to your family and bring some sunshine into your life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Purrl, a Springdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Springdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Springdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
