Billy Joel's Story...
Billy Joel is an 18 pound Shih Tzu. He gets along well with other dogs and is completely at ease with cats. He's a low energy guy, slow moving and quiet. He makes a little sound when he's uncertain or needs something, but we've only heard him bark once. He's very happy indoors with his human companions. He enjoys lying on a deck or porch and might explore a small yard, but he doesn't need a large area to run. He rides very well in the car and is learning to walk on a leash. He's easy to bathe too and needs a trim! It will be fun to see the little guy under all this hair :). He's a very easy dog to love and care for. B.J. is five years old, heartworm negative, neutered, and current on vaccinations. To learn more about him, please email Billy Joel is fostered is Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy Joel, a Hamburg Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Hamburg, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Hamburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
