Introducing the stunning Roxanne, a 7 year old Saluki!! This gorgeous girl was surrendered because her family had to move and they could not take Roxanne with them. She is now in a foster home where she has settled in beautifully and has made herself quite comfortable.
This long-legged beauty is a former show dog and has even won some championships! Now she is in retirement and is enjoying some leisure time and loves just being a dog! Her foster family adores this girl. She is a mellow, relaxed girl who is content to lounge around on the couch! That is unless there is a tennis ball or a toy around, then she happily chases and leaps through the air to catch it! Salukis were originally bred as gazelle hunters, so watching this girl run is amazing! She gallops through the yard, chasing the other dogs who have no chance of keeping up with her (they give it their best effort though)!! She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home, but would be perfectly content being your one and only as well. She even gets along with cats, but thinks a game of chase is always fun! She is perfectly relaxed when meeting strangers too. She is a bit aloof at first, but that is pretty typical of the breed.
Roxanne is crate trained. Her foster family crates her when they leave for work and she is perfectly content until they return home. Roxanne is spayed and up to date with vaccinations.
