Lynk's Story...
Meet Lynk! He is a 1 year old Golden Retriever and Basset Hound mix. He along with his "wife" and puppies were surrendered to a local shelter. All but Lynk were adopted so we asked if they needed our help. Lynk is quite the character! Not only is he adorable, but wait to see you see him run! So cute! He is doing great in his foster home with two big golden retrievers and loves people, especially women. It appears he is house trained and knows basic commands. If interested in adopting Lynk, please visit our website www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org - Knoxville to New England page for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lynk, a Knoxville Golden Retriever/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
