My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riggs is a young yorkie/lhasa mix that is looking for a home. He and 6 other small male dogs were surrendered to a nearby kill shelter likely by a breeder of small designer breeds. They keep the females for breeding and discard the males as they have no real use for them. So sad. Riggs is very timid but once he gets to know you he can be quite an animated little guy. It will just take some time for him to warm up and feel safe and secure. He has made great strides with us, learning how to walk on lead and getting used to a potty schedule. He loves his crate and feels very secure there. Riggs does fine with other dogs and is actually scared of our cats. He may not be the best fit in a home with small children since he is very shy. Our adoption application is on our website www.cedarfarmrescue.com Riggs is neutered and microchipped, up to date on all shots and monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. He is 2 and a half years old and weighs 10 lbs.
