My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Collins is a shy, sweet yorkie/lhasa mix that is looking for a home of his own. He did not have a great first couple of years, evidently lacking the nurturing environment that young dogs need to become confident adults. He and six other small breed young male dogs were surrendered to a nearby kill shelter. They were all horribly matted and definitely in need of some love and good food. Collins has made great strides in the short time he has been with us at Cedar Farm. We have noticed that he bonds quickly with his caregiver and we think his personality will blossom with a guardian and family that is willing to give him the extra attention that he will need to feel secure. Once he becomes comfortable he will be a wonderful little companion! Collins is 2 and a half years old and currently weighs 9 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots. He is heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks. He is crate-trained and walks nicely on lead. He does well with other dogs but is a little bit scared of the cats. With any questions about Collins or our adoption procedure please call (336) 251-8877.
