Ralph & Dixie's Story...
Ralph and Dixie are two very sweet Basset Hounds. Ralph is the one with the white stripe down the center of his face. He is 7+ years old. He has alot of energy and is extremely affectionate. Dixie is approx. 3 years old. She loves attention. The pair love to meet new people. They were found together as strays and were never claimed.
Ralph and Dixie are a bonded pair and will only be adopted out to the same home. That home must have a fenced yard for them to be able to safely play in. The adoption fee for the pair is $130 which included their spay and neuter, rabies vaccines, basic vaccines, worming, and flea/tick preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ralph & Dixie, a Lawrenceburg Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Lawrenceburg, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Lawrenceburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lawrenceburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lawrenceburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lawrenceburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
