Sera's Story...
Introducing SERA! Three year old Sera is brand new to rescue and her foster is already saying she is a great dog! She is super social with people and has fallen into the foster family's routine very quickly. She knows her basic manners and definitely likes to be the center of attention, so she may be best as an only dog. She will need an experienced GSD person who is a strong leader . . . . . . and Sera will benefit from some obedience classes. Sera has a great build and a very healthy, shiny coat. She has lots of love to give and will be a great catch for some lucky family! Please no families with children under age 12 as she is a large, exuberant dog!

About Our Rescue Group...
Mission Statement:
To find caring, loving, permanent homes for surrendered, abandoned or neglected dogs and puppies. Northwest German Shepherd Rescue hopes to ease the problem of the population overflow occurring in many of our shelters today. We educate the individual on the importance of sterilizing the pet and providing superior care.

We are composed of a network of foster families and are in need of finding more foster care providers with the time and commitment to provide care for these animals in transition. We also are in need of people to provide transportation for these animals. We are an all- volunteer rescue.

Our Adoption Process...
If you are interested in adopting a dog fill out an Adoption Application and send it to us via email at info@northwestgermanshepherd.org. Fees vary, usually $100 - $600 for reimbursement of expenses. This may include, but are not be limited to, spay/neuter, vaccinations, food, transportation, x-rays, etc. Our adoption fees help to cover the adopted dog's expenses as well as help with the medical expenses incurred by other ill, injured, handicapped or aging rescue dogs.

In addition, we require all adopters to have purchased a firm dog bed, provide supplements that may assist in the prevention of arthritis and enroll in specified obedience training (within 14 days). If you are interested in becoming a foster family, please email us directly at info@northwestgermanshepherd.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sera, a Bothell German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Bothell, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Bothell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bothell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bothell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bothell paves the way for another one to be saved.
