Lily's Story...
Lily is a 30# mixed breed pup who is about 9 months old. Based on her size, shape & coloring, we're guessing that she is a Doberman/Cattle dog mix. She was originally found as a stray & taken to a rural animal shelter. She was adopted & then returned within a month thru no fault of her own. Her adopter didnt bother to research her breed mix at all & rather than train her, they decided to send her away.

But Lily holds no grudges. She is a happy, light-hearted little girl who truly believes that the world is a wonderful place.

If you watch the Westminster Dog show on TV, you will often hear them say that a particular breeds intelligence requires a dedicated and equally intelligent owner. That description fits Lily to a T!!!!!! She is a very smart girl & is up to any challenge. She needs a home that finds an active, clever dog to be a joy to work with rather than a burden.

Lily gets along beautifully with all the other dogs in her foster home. They range in size from 20# to 120# and the age range is from about 6 months up to 12 years. So she should fit in well in nearly any situation. She also seems to like the cats, but will do best in a home with a confident cat. Lily is very fast & if a cat is going to run from her, she might just catch them. Because of her speed & fearless nature, Lily will need a home with a fenced in yard. With people, Lily is a love bug. She loves meeting new people & getting any attention she can. She is also eager to please & food-motivated, so she should be easy to train.

If you are interested in making this intelligent, sensitive, adorable little dog a member of your family, please email for an adoption application.

Beginning 4/28/12, Lily will be at the TriCounty PetsMart in Cincinnati OH (11741 Princeton Pike, 45246) on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 3 pm until she finds a home. Adoption applications will be available onsite. Her adoption fee will be $200.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in adopting this dog, please EMAIL rather than call. That way your request can be forwarded to the appropriate person/foster home & an adoption application can be forwarded to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a Aurora Doberman Pinscher/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Aurora, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Aurora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aurora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aurora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aurora paves the way for another one to be saved.
