I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Owen is a 15yo neutered male cream Cocker Spaniel who was rescued from a high-kill shelter where he was on the euthanasia list. Owen entered the shelter as a stray with poor skin, poor health, massive ear infections and bald spots. Little is known about his life prior to the shelter, but it’s obvious there was not much love or care. Despite his age and the cataracts that impair his vision at night- he’s in excellent condition! Owen is an absolute sweetheart and loves his human but he’s not overly affectionate or clingy- he will often lay close enough that he knows I’m there but not on top of me. He’s honestly one of the most laid-back & chill dogs you’re gonna meet; he’s perfectly happy laying around with you but he does enjoy going for walks & will OCCASIONALLY jog (it’s SO cute when he starts jogging). I’ve found him to be quite the little prankster; he’ll have you thinking he’s a 90year old man & then surprise you with his inner pup! He’s great with dogs & cats. He doesn’t seem to have a care in the world- I think he’s just happy he’s not walking around aimlessly on the street anymore! I've given him the nickname 'Mr. Wiggles' because he LOVES having his back scratched (right above his tail) & his whole body wiggles uncontrollably when you do this. He requires an owner who will love him unconditionally for the rest of his life & continue to spoil him rotten.. he deserves this!
If you'd like to meet Owen, please fill out an application on our website & we will contact you to set up a private meet & greet.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
