Skyar's Story...
Skyler is an energetic, happy and very friendly young female pit only 7 months old Skye is everything a mentally healthy young dog should be - playful, active, interested in new things, and people loving. What sets her apart from other young dogs is her incredible desire to learn and to please. She learns far faster than many other dogs of her age that have been trained. She has already mastered Sit, Down, Shake, and almost fully mastered a rollover trick. She is still learning not to jump and to fine tune her greeting behaviors, which all normals pups need to do, so at present I would place her with an active family, preferably with children but not toddlers as she could unintentionally knock them over in excitement. She deserves to go to a family that is interested in continued training as her intelligence and desire to work would
need to be utilized or she could become frustration. She is the ideal dog for someone looking for a happy, energetic girl and who is interested in some continued training to fine tune her wonderful attributes. She is not a coach potato dog looking just to lay quietly at someone's feet while they read the newspaper.
Is in training now and will come with trainer when adopted
Spayed with all her shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skyar, a Long Beach American Staffordshire Terrier/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Greyhound for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Greyhound breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
