Garcia's Story...
Garcia can be seen at Purr-Suasions in Old Town Scottsdale almost any day if requested.. 480-694-9998
This beautiful boy would be a keeper if we didn't have so many rescues. He seems like a perfect companion. He loves to be held like a baby. he purrs whenever he gets attention. He plays well with the other cats and kittens.
He has just returned from an adoption where he did everything right, but the adopter's caregiver is seriously alergic. He laid in her lap and was generally loving, though, in only 10 days, he wasn't willing to walk up to visitors. She agrees, he's a perfect and beautiful young cat. (He never touched her leather couch.)
Garcia (just an arbitrary "G" name) is a sweet, active tabby with spots on sides, a white bib and four white feet (really just toes in front) . He is very pretty!
He has completed his distemper shots and been neutered. Their mother tested negative for FeLV/FIV (more accurate than testing kittens). His mother looks Russian Blue - go figure - and sisters were white with light eyes.
He was fostered in a home with dogs, but the dogs weren't allowed in the kitten room. He roams freely with all the other cats in my home and there haven't been any problems.
He might like a dog..
We have a 1.5-year-old female that has a bit more white, but otherwise looks the same and is, also, very sweet-natured and social. They might go well together. (See Vivian.)
He and other SOS Kitty cats and kittens can be seen by appointment 480-694-9998

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garcia, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
