Rocky's Story...
This nice boy is about 3 years old based upon teeth condition. He is friendly with people and animals. He likes being inside, but also like the entertainment of squirrels going from tree to tree ! He needs a homeowner who has a fenced yard as part of his home. This breed 'blows' their coat a couple of times a year and require extensive grooming and will profusely shed.Take this into consideration in deciding if he is right for you. He came to us as a stray and was heartworm positive. He has been treated and has tested negative. He is non-destructive and does not bark much. Mals are NOT good watch dogs. His size of 78-80 pounds might deter someone with bad intentions, but dont count on him to be aggressive .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Buford Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in Buford, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Buford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buford paves the way for another one to be saved.
