Cherry's Story...
Cherry is a young, sturdy, 11 lb. female Maltese mix residing in our home as a foster rescue dog. She came to us from a shelter in Southern California where she entered as a stray and had a minor eye problem. Cherry has had eye surgery and her problem is totally corrected. When Cherry first came to us, she was not used to receiving human affection and showed signs of having been abused. She was fearful of going outside and not being able to get back in the house. In the six weeks that Cherry has resided in our home, she now enjoys affection and exploring our yard with our big dog. When she is outside, and we call her name; she comes running as fast as she can to greet us. For information on our adoption process, please go to our website at www.americanmalteserescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherry, a Fort Braff Maltese/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Lhasa Apso for sale in Fort Braff, or seeking a Maltese/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Fort Braff.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Braff already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Braff breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Maltese/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Braff paves the way for another one to be saved.
