Basil's Story...
THE FIRST STEP IN THE ADOPTION PROCESS IS TO SUBMIT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION. Basil is an approx. 12 week old mixed breed puppy. We have no idea what he is mixed with or how big (or small) he'll end up being. Boxer, Bulldog, pit, Lab, hound, who knows? He's absolutely adorable (no one can resist his big floppy ears!) and so very sweet. And very well behaved - doing great with housebreaking and crate training and very laid back for his age. He is great with cats, kids, other dogs, you name it. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Basil, please visit our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org and click "want to adopt" to submit the adoption application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Basil, a Reisterstown Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Reisterstown, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Reisterstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reisterstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reisterstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reisterstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
