I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Amelia can be found in the Cat’s Meow office, where she has a dramatic way of tumbling down from a high perch to greet you. She doesn’t know that her wobbly way of walking is anything special -- it’s just how she gets around, and it works fine for her! Amelia has feline cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects mobility and balance. She’d like you to know that she is healthy and happy, and that cats with CH have a normal life expectancy. She loves snuggling and petting and will be a wonderful addition to some lucky family. Come meet her soon! (Good info is at http://lifewithchcats.com/what-is-cerebellar-hypoplasia/)
From one of our volunteers:
I volunteer at the Cat's Meow. Amelia has become one of my favorite kitties with her fun personality and great spirit. She is so sweet, loves attention, treats and some good cuddles and lap time. Put her down before she's ready and she'll be right back for more. She doesn't seem to be aware that she's a little different from other cats (in her eyes, all the other cats walk funny). She flies across the floor to get where she wants to go and right up the cat trees to claim her spot. Meet this special girl in person and she will steal your heart the way she has of us volunteers.
