Willow's Story...
Willow is a typical young lady who knows the basics, but will still test you to see what she can get away with. She's too small to be all Malamute, but definitely has Mal characteristics. Willow will be best placed with someone who has a large secured fenced in area as she is not going to tolerate being crated. Fearless, she loves to race thru the woods, checking out all the smells. Our foster is located in west central Virginia. Check our face book page under Alaskan Malamute Rescue of Delaware where most of the dogs have their own photo album.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Augusta County Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in Augusta County, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Augusta County.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Augusta County already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Augusta County breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Augusta County paves the way for another one to be saved.
