I am housetrained, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.
'I have a second chance at life...can I spend it with you?'
Prepare to be charmed by this electric wiggle machine (no magic required). George is ready to meet his special someone and go home!
The future was not always so bright for this little ball of energy. If fact he was within 30 minutes of not having any future at all. George was literally snatched from the euthanasia table by APA! staff. George had been hit by a car that roughed him up pretty badly and fractured his spine.
With a lot of TLC and physical therapy (and a few of his favorite cheese snacks) he is doing well. He is regaining the use of his rear legs a little bit at a time. He has toe slings now that help stretch his muscles and protect his toes while he relearns how to walk. He's making attempts to walk every day now, and his foster dad reports lots more happy tail wags every week.
George is housetrained, and loves hugs, car rides, naps in the sun, and resting his head in your lap. He gets around great with his walker and is surprisingly very fast. His favorite activity is running on the trail where he is very well known. His second favortie is swimming and he looks very stylish in his life vest! He will make a great companion to keep you company all day.
In addition to his foster dad, he loves women and other dogs! He does react to cats though. George is ready to settle into his forever home with people to call his own. Even after he is adopted, APA! will continue to cover his rehab and medical appointments.
Are you ready to be greeted every day with excitement and kisses? That's George's spirit shining through...loving and grateful. And happy to be alive.
