Crunch's Story...
ADOPTION EVENT JUNE 9, 2012 AT LANCASTER PETCO, 2350 LINCOLN HIGHWAY EAST, LANCASTER PA 2-4 PM, AND JUNE 10, 2012 AT NORWALK PETSMART, 525 CONNECTICUT AVENUE, NORWALK CT FROM 12-2 PM.

This litter was turned over to the rescue from a hoarding situation. We do not know the breed mix, it is a guess but we believe possibly chihuahua/terrier or maybe tea cup lab. We have not seen their parents, they were not at the home and there were so many dogs confiscated by animal control it's hard to know if any were the parents. They are very sweet pups, getting along with each other, other dogs, cats and kids. They are 9 weeks old as of 5/6 and weigh between about 2-3 lbs each. They are up to date on shots, fixed and microchipped.

If you are interested in a dog, please go to www.tailsofcourage.org to fill out an application, and email to tailsofcourage@optonline.net. We are NOT a shelter, we are a group of foster homes in various states, please be respectful of the hours you call. Adoption fee $400. We can transport to you directly, transport fees vary based on weight of dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crunch, a Danbury Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
