Meet Lou! Lou, formally Hercules, he is too much of a lover to live up to the name Hercules, so now he answers to Lou. This sweet guy is a typical one-to-two-year-old Great Dane puppy – he loves attention, loves to play and is happiest when next to his two-legged foster family members. He does really well with his foster brother, a Labrador retriever. Lou does not have food guarding issues and bounces around happily when he is about to be fed. His foster mom describes him as “the complete package”. This big guy is curious about everything and would do best in a home where people are around a lot so he can have constant contact throughout the day. Lou is wonderful with all people, a great ambassador of the breed and of rescue dogs. He has interacted with people after a running race at City Park, has played gently with all breeds at a dog park and chilled on the patio of restaurants, he can definitely be trusted in all social situations. However, he does like to dig when unsupervised in the yard, does like to sniff at things on the kitchen counter, is curious about squirrels and is very unsure about stairs. He enjoys walks, is well behaved on a leash, doesn’t get on furniture, is calm in the car and is searching for his forever home!
