Tanner's Story...

TANNER- German Shepherd Female. Age unknown, but we think she is between 7-9 years old, 55 lbs. She was a stray who was horribly emaciated and has had MANY MANY puppies in her life. She is now fixed & vetted with a clean bill of health. Her ears may never stand again from multiple hematoma's in each ear. She does ok on a leash, ok in the house, but can be possessive of her walk way. She is good with other dogs, and we think she would do fine with a cat. She is a fantastic car rider, and does ok with bathing as well. Tanner is ready to go and is a very faithful follower. Indoor homes please.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tanner, a Cookeville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Cookeville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Cookeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cookeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cookeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cookeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
