My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snuggles is a 1 1/2 yr old, purebred (she comes with CKC paperwork) Shih Tzu who weighs about 12 lbs. This little doll baby was surrendered to rescue by owners who were in tears. The only reason that they gave her up was because Snuggles playes too rough :( They also have a much smaller Shih Tzu who Snuggles loved to play with but she would get carried away and the little one hurt her back when she was tackled one day. The vet said if it happened again the little one could be seriously injured so, with a heavy heart, they knew Snuggles needed to find a new home where she could either be an only dog or with a dog the same size. We love fostering this little sweetie. She is not only gorgeous but well mannered as well. She isn't a barker but will "talk" to you when she wants your attention, is hungry or wants a treat. She is pee pad trained but will potty outside as well. Although Snuggles has never shown any form of aggression she would do better in a home with children over the age of 5.

*** PLEASE NOTE: DOGS LIKE SNUGGLES ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT THAT DOESN'T COME NATURALLY. THEY ARE A HIGH MAINTENANCE BREED THAT NEED BRUSHING OFTEN AND TRIPS TO A GROOMER EVERY 6-8 WEEKS OR THEIR COAT WILL BECOME TERRIBLY KNOTTED. THIS CAN BE EXPENSIVE AND YOU NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR THAT BEFORE APPLYING.





This dog will be spayed, receive rabies and DHPP vaccinations, de-wormed and tested for heartworms on May 10th. She will NOT be ready to go to a new home until spayed.
