Meet sweet Rosie! She is a 2 year old Pit Bull mix. We think she may be mixed with a Lab or Hound, but we really are not sure. What we do know is that Rosie is one of the sweetest dogs her foster mom has ever met! Poor Rosie was found wandering the streets in the Bronx. Was she lost? Was she abandoned? We will never know. Rosie was found wearing a collar, but she had no tags or identification. She's probably another "throw-away mom". Rosie has not been taken care of for quite some time. Her fur is patchy and she has some old scars on her head. Don't let Rosie's misfortune get you down. She will look at you with love beaming from her eyes. All Rosie really wants is a pair of welcoming arms to run to. Her favorite thing to do is curl up in her foster mom's lap while she rests her head on her foster mom's heart. Rosie is a petite 50 pounds so she fits perfectly!

Rosie is an easy going girl. She gets along beautifully with her canine foster sister. She greets men, women, and children with the famous Pit Bull wiggle, some hugs, and lots of kisses. Sometimes in new situations, Rosie is a little cautious. During those times, Rosie prefers to sit at her foster mom's feet and observe. It doesn't take long for Rosie to get comfortable and then here comes her wiggles and wags! Rosie spends her time chewing on her bones and playing with her toys. She doesn't mind resting in her crate while her foster mom works an 8 hour day. She enjoys going for walks and she walks nicely on the leash. Of course, she loves treats! She takes them very gently. She knows her basic commands like sit, wait, stay, down, and come. She wants nothing more than to please her person; and to snuggle with her person on the couch and at bedtime. If you're looking for a sweet and loving dog, a cuddler, a dog that thinks you are the best thing that ever happened to her... then Rosie is your girl! All Rosie is looking for is a person or family to call her own. If you think that you would like to give Rosie the loving home that she deserves, please fill out an application and come meet her at our next adoption day event.

Rosie is housebroken, up to date with her shots, and microchipped.
