Anthony's Story...
ANTHONY is a very handsome, very sweet and loveable DLH gray and white boy, approximately 1-1/2 years old. Came in Dutch Harbor after his owners dumped him at animal control citing behavioral issues. Aside from being a little stressed when he came into rescue, he has done extremely well. Very social, loves attention, rolls over for his belly rubs and does very well well the other cats he shares space with. After observing this cat for awhile, I think he just wasn't happy in the home he had been living. Anthony is a nice cat with a great personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anthony, a Anchorage Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Anchorage, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Anchorage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anchorage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anchorage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anchorage paves the way for another one to be saved.
