Zeus's Story...
Hi, I'm Zeus!

I'm also known as Spider Cat for my very long limbs, my ability to dangle upside down from various spots around Friends for Life, and my exceptional agility for a cat of my height (but don't tell anyone else about my alter ego). And here's the rest of my story...my brother and I were left behind (outside I might add) when our owner moved away. Kind strangers fed us for awhile, but when my brother disappeared, they knew they had to do more and took me into their home to foster me until FFL could get an apartment ready for me. I'm about 2 years old, incredibly friendly and sociable with all other animals. I still love the outdoors after spending so much time there, but the people who've cared for me have noted my tendency to chase after things they say might be dangerous ( you know, like cars). I'm about to start learning how to walk on a leash, and then maybe I can go outside safely! I'd be the perfect cat for a home with lots of kids, dogs, other cats and just generally plenty of activity! So if you're looking for a super hero kind of cat, come and see me soon.

Love, Zeus

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Houston Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
