Bonnie's Story...
I’m Bonnie, on the next page you’ll find my partner in crime, Clyde! We’re on the run. On the run from the law! The law of loneliness that is. Loneliness is the lamest law in the book, and I intend to break it!!! I had a loving home…I was a stray about 4 years ago, then a sweet old lady took me in. She loved and cared for us for years, but, she had to go into assisted living, and now there is no one to care for us. I’m not really a fan of being poked and prodded, so let’s say no little kids…but I am a super affectionate little pooch who would make one heck of a companion in a cat/little kid free household. I love a good walk, a good lap, and the good life. So maybe you can be my new partner in crime! Breakin’ the law!!!

6 years old-15lbs. My adoption fee is $140 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Portland Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
