My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Angel is a beautiful Springer Spaniel possible three to five years old. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.
This little lady has a story to tell, but unfortunately we can only tell the part of it that we know. If she could talk she would tell it all for us. What we know is, she was dumped out and left to fend for herself and it looks like she has done that for quite some time. She found her way to someone's house to ask for food and water and maybe a place to rest but they didn't want her and refused to take care of her. She sat for days, knowing she was not wanted, waiting for them to come outside and try to run her off. She would back off a little but not leave as she didn't know where to go!

Starving and road weary, she had gone as far as she could. If she was to die, it would be there as she couldn't make herself go back into the woods alone. She sat for days, knowing there was food and having none, knowing there was love and feeling none.

Then one day the people told their friends they were going to dump her somewhere far away and she was so worried. Still she sat and waited, knowing she didn't have the energy to run away, knowing she had no where to go, just waiting on the worst to happen.

And then....... the big white truck came. She wagged her tail and the lady took her away. It was different to think she was wanted, that she didn't have to beg for food and no one was trying to run her away. She even had her own place to lay down with a soft blanket inside. The lady took her to the doctor and got her some medicine to help her feel better and comes to her bed to check on her many times a day.

At first she was too tired to even walk and the lady carried her outside so she could walk and smell the other animals but after two days of medicine, good food and some rest, she could even jump down from her bed, and wag her tail when she was ready to go outside! She still felt a little uneasy as there were so many dogs around her that she did not know and she still didn't feel as well as she used to. But she had hope now. Hope that she would feel like her old self again soon and hope that someone special would see her and say, "That's the dog I have wanted all my life!"

I told her it will happen soon because Angels are always welcome in good people's homes!
"Be careful because you may entertain angels unaware".....
