Courtney's Story...
Courtney is a precious little girl, born in early March (2012), who was rescued along with her brother Colton from a dark basement under an apartment building. Courtney and Colton are like two peas in a pod and they do everything together. They love to play and wrestle with each other. Courtney loves to be held and have her head kissed. She is very sassy little girl and is not afraid of anything. Courtney is a beautiful short haired, gray tabby with perfect stripes that wrap around her body. We would like for Courtney and Colton to be adopted together since they have never been apart but she can be adopted on her own. Adoption to an approved home includes Microchipping! For adoption information or to schedule a visit to the FURR lodge to meet Courtney, and Colton, please contact Terry at 864-483-2444. If you are not ready to adopt a kitty, please consider sponsoring (see link on our website – www.catfurr.org)! All donations are tax deductible!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Courtney, a Waxhaw Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
