Colton's Story...
Colton and his sister, Courtney, were born in early March 2012 and were rescued from a dark basement under an apartment building. Colton has a thick, fluffy, medium length gray tabby coat. Colton's markings are beautiful and he has perfect stripes that wrap around his body. He loves to play with his sister and chase toy balls. He has the cutest little face that you can't help but fall in love with. We would like for Colton and Courtney to be adopted together since they have never been apart but he can be adopted on his own. Adoption to an approved home includes Microchipping, neutering and all vaccinations! For adoption information or to schedule a visit to the FURR lodge to meet Colton & Courtney, please contact Terry at 864-483-2444. If you are not ready to adopt a kitty, please consider sponsoring (see link on our website – www.catfurr.org)! All donations are tax deductible!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colton, a Waxhaw Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
