Ruff Ruff! My name is ALEX
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Male||ID#:||ALEX|
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
You'd never guess Alex is 9 years old. He is equal parts playful and energetic with loving and cuddly. He is house and kennel trained. He gets along marvelously with other dogs. We suspect he would do fine with cats and children, but have not exposed him to them. Alex learns routines and rules quickly from his 4-legged friends and would like to have playmates.
Alex patiently waits to be let out of his kennel in the morning and then he shoots out of his kennel and “dances” all over the house. When he gets excited, he exhibits signs of a bull in the china shop and his ears stop working. Once he gets over his excitement, he is wonderfully attentive and responsive. Alex really wants to please, but needs a patient, consistent pack leader to teach him the routines. When Alex is not on high speed, he loves to snuggle.
He loves squeak toys, balls, and especially squeaky balls. He likes to have his toys spread all over the floor, but he will bring his toys to you to be put away. Alex loves and needs to run, so a round or two of playing ball is mandatory each day. Alex has a watch dog sounding bark when people walk by or knock on the door. He is not aggressive or possessive, but he does jump and bounce when meeting people.
Alex has no known health issues. You can see more photos of Alex on our website: www.acsrwa.org If your home has a place to run and someone to play with, contact ACSR to meet Alex. Alex's adoption fee is $225.

Our Vision: Eliminate the suffering, misplacement and euthanasia of adoptable Cocker Spaniels.
Our Mission : American Cocker Spaniel Rescue's primary mission is to provide a safe haven to Cocker Spaniels who are at risk of euthanasia by providing short and long-term foster care, health care, breed education, sterilization, rehabilitation, and ultimately a suitable forever loving home.
Visits are by appointment. Please call or email to schedule an appointment to meet our adoptable cocker spaniels today!
Anyone wanting to adopt one of our cocker spaniels, must fill out an application (available on our website at www.acsrwa.org) Applications are reviewed by our staff; applicants that qualify are then asked for what we call a "home visit". One of our volunteers meets with each applicant and their household members at their home for a short interview. Each applicant gets an opportunity to meet with the dog to see if they like each other. Information about each applicant is then reviewed and an applicant is chosen to adopt a dog. A couple of weeks after a dog is adopted, a volunteer with check with the adopter to see how everything is going and if there are any problems, concerns, questions, etc. We are always available to help however we can, after the adoption is made.
