My story

Hi, I’m Kaia. I’m a beautiful chocolate beagle with stunning gold eyes & ears too big for my head. I’m a petite girl weighing only 16 pounds. The perfect size to curl up in your lap!

I’m a bit timid, so a home with another dog to show me the ropes might be best. Also, fast movement startles me, so I don’t think I would do well with small children. I don’t like to get very far from foster mom, but I cower a bit if she bends down to pet me. When we are sitting on the couch, I love to get belly rubs.

I go in a crate during the day when nobody is home. It’s not too bad because my foster sister is in the same room in another crate. I don’t like going in there at night when every else is in the big bed, but foster mom has this thing about me going potty in the house. We’re working on that, but sometimes I forget to go when we are outside.

I’m pretty mellow, occasionally I get the zoomies, but I’m just as happy snuggling with foster mom. I’m also very quiet, except when foster mom is out of the room for too long. That likely will change once I gain some confidence.
