Romeo's Story...

Romeo is one of 3 cats who were abandoned by Garden Ridge near Carolina Place Mall in Pineville, NC.  One was hit by a car on 485 within days, and one has moved on to the mall area where he is living with a small colony of feral cats.  When I saw how friendly Romeo was, and realized that I could pick him up, I knew I needed to trap him and find him a home.  Romeo loves attention and will follow me around the house and sit and watch me when I'm doing something in the kitchen.  He is very playful, really enjoys catnip, and loves chasing a laser.  Romeo is approximately 2 years old and full of energy.  He has been combo tested for Feline Leukemia, Feline Aids, and Heart Worms and is NEGATIVE for all.  Please come meet this little fella and see how sweet and lovable he is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Romeo, a Waxhaw Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
