Miss BK's Info...
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Miss BK is an adorable black and white tuxedo kitty with shorter hair. She is approximately 2 years old. She had a very rough beginning...she was found as a stray kitten severely injured by the side of the road in KCK. She was taken in to a shelter, but the person who found her could not take financial responsibility for her, so she was to be euthanized. Luckily one of the vet tech employees stepped in and agreed to try to help her. It was very touch and go for a few months for the poor kitten. And during that time it was seriously considered to euthanize her because they just didn't think she was going to make it.
The shelter believes she was probably hit by a car since she was found by the side of the road so injured. She was suffering from an anal prolapse (which is kind of like a hernia), and can be the result of a severe traumatic blow, such as being hit by a car. The poor kitty had to undergo several procedures to try to help her, and she had to be put on a soft food diet so that it was easier for her to pass stool. Then fortunately a very giving veterinarian offered her surgical skills to completely repair the kitten. After some recovery time, the surgery was a great success and Miss BK has been extremely healthy ever since. It was truly a miracle that she survived all of that, and that the veterinarian was able to help her overcome her terrible injury. She does not require a special diet, and you would never even know she had such a tough beginning!
Miss BK gets along fine with other cats, enjoys sitting in the sun, and likes to play with toys on occasion. She has not been around dogs, and it may be best if she were not around large or hyper dogs.
Miss BK has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has been de-wormed and flea treated, and also has been tested negative for Feline Leukemia virus and FIV.
