My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shiloh is a gorgeous mix of muted Calico, Siamese, and tabby. As you can see, from her Siamese heritage she inherited soft blue eyes, her calico coat is as soft as can be, and she finishes off her look with the tabbiest of tabby tails.

Shiloh is truly a cat’s cat – she is quirky, lovey, and unpredictable, always reserving the right to change her mind at any time. She has become quite the lap cat in her foster home, although she prefers to get to your lap under her own steam, thank you very much.

Shiloh’s favorite activities include lap-sitting, playing, and bird-watching. She is most happy when her person or people will play with her and especially enjoys the laser light, with string toys and “Da Bird” coming in just behind that uncatchable laser dot. Once she has burned off some playtime energy, Shiloh is ready to climb into a lap for a rest and some TV or perhaps even a nice quiet book.

Shiloh would do well as an only cat where she can be the center of attention, or with a laidback cat. She is not overly fond of having cats in her close personal space, so we think she’d get along best with another cat that will allow her some personal space without trying to cuddle or wrestle.

At six years old, Shiloh is just young enough to still be filled with fun and play, and just old enough to have perfect house manners. Her litter box manners are impeccable and she is past the kitten-climbing-the-drapes phase, so you don’t have to worry for your furniture. Because she can be a bit unpredictable, she will do best in a home with adults and older children only, preferably with some cat familiarity.

Shiloh, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee is $80.

If you are interested in meeting Shiloh, please fill out the "I'm interested"form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly.

Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
