Java's Story...
Java is an 18-month-old Bloodhound waiting in California for her forever family. Shy in new situations, Java quickly warms up and shows her gentle, loving, and goofy nature. A big teddy bear, Java loves to have her soft ears and fur petted, and she gives tender kisses in return. When she is really happy, she puts her front feet on her people and waggles her whole body. Java is good around other dogs, joining in the fun and then taking herself off for a nap. She completely ignores the family cat. Java adores children and is very gentle around them. A mellow girl, Java walks nicely on a leash, enjoys lounging in the sunshine, and is having grand fun playing with her toys.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Java, a Sacramento area Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Sacramento area, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Sacramento area.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento area already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento area breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento area paves the way for another one to be saved.
