My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bree is a 9 month old Border Collie/Mini Australian Shepherd X. She is very soft natured and is working on building her confidence. She came to New Hope from a farm where she didn't see a lot of people or new places, so she was very scared and timid at first. But her foster mom has shown her so many new people and places now, that she is getting more confident every day. She will now approach people to get a quick pet, or even take treats from their hands! She gets very attached to her "person" and loves them unconditionally. Once you have earned her trust, she will love you and trust you with all of her soul. Bree is house trained and will go into her crate, but she does not enjoy being crated. She would rather just hang out with you all day. She is looking for a home that will keep her active and continue socializing her to build her confidence more. She is not very food motivated, but has improved a lot. So we are starting to work on teaching her some obedience... Bree walks beautifully on leash and is learning how to "sit" and "stay". She is a good girl in the house, other than stealing a sock every once in a while. :) Bree has a lot of potential and would make a great agility dog one day if she can find a family who will keep working on her and teach her how fun life can be! Bree is not a very big girl... only about 20 lbs. But she loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. She LOVES the dog park and enjoys running and swimming with her friends. She has also met a cat and a rabbit and was very polite and uninterested in both of them. Bree would do best in a home with another friendly dog, as she gets a lot of her confidence from following what the other dogs are doing. If you think that you can give Bree the life that she deserves, then please contact New Hope Dog Rescue and come and meet her! You won't be disappointed.
