Dolly's Story...
Dolly is a beautiful 5-year-old Harl/Merle Great Dane. She is a very sweet nature dog. She is very calm and well behaved. She is house broken and she knows basic commands like sit, lay down and shake. She gets along with other dogs, as well as cats. Great around kids. Likes to take walks and loves to go for car rides. She is a little over weight right now, but with a good diet and daily walks, she'll be back to being nice and fit.

If interested in giving Dolly a new loving home, please fill out the adoption application on our website: www.pawsofaustin.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dolly, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
