Xanadu's Story...
Xanadu is a beautiful 2-3 year old female with a lovely black, silky coat and long draping ears waiting in Texas for her forever family. In good weight at 53 lbs, the pumpkin colored eyebrows and highlights only serve to emphasize the beauty of her coat. She has a way of establishing immediate communication with her master/mistress by her soulful stare into your eyes. Maybe one of her strongest characteristics is her sweetness and her desire to be with her humans. She loves to play with other dogs and shows her enthusiasm with a prance like a Tennessee walking horse. She is house trained and learned the household routine without difficulty. She is very good with children, even the very young, and can spend hours playing with them. She would make an excellent family dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xanadu, a Dallas Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
