My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Velvet is a petite tuxie who was found at about age 6 months all alone chewing on a hard biscuit someone had thrown out for birds. Neither her mother or her littermates were found, and the area is frequented by foxes. She is very sweet but potential adopters are put off by her runny left eye, which seems to have poor vision; she flinches if your hand comes at her from that side of her head as though she can't see from it. She does best in a quiet, calm home with a routine so she knows what to expect and can relax. She loves being petted and brushed and is patient with our routine of wiping her eye. She likes to stay in a small area so ideally her food, litterbox and sleeping place could all be in the same room. Who knows what caused her to be afraid like this, but she is a survivor and she improves daily as she learns your routine.
