Kazi's Story...
Kazi is a healthy little Gold Capped Conure. He is a bit reluctant to come out of his cage. But, if you are patient, he will reward you with emerging onto his cage door. He will readily step up from there.

Kazi is very tame and loves to have his head scratched. He will cuddle but only for a short time. Then he wants to play. He is a very endearing little bird.

Arnie's approximate hatch date is 1/2003, and his adoption fee is $150.

For information on some of the characteristics of this bird, see this Species Profile page: http://www.staravian.org/species_profiles.html#Conure

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kazi, a St. Louis Conure was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Conure for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Conure from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Conure breeders who help with Conure rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
