Boidie's Story...
Boidie is a darling female Quaker Parrot. She is in perfect feather. She loves to “step up” and “shake”. She is particularly fond of being sung to morning and evening. Her morning song is the Mr. Rogers' “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.” In the evening, she enjoys being talked to and sung to, ending with “Rock-a-bye Boidie.” Sometimes she sings along under her breath.

Boidie is mostly a closet talker but has quite a few words and phrases that we hear her practicing sometimes: “Hiya Cutie, what’cha doing?,” “GOOD morning!,” “Beautiful neighbor, neighbor, neighbor,” “Night night,” “Kiss kiss,” “I love you,” and “Step up, step up, step up, SHAKE! Good girl!”

Boidie's approximate hatch date is 12/1999, and her adoption donation is $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boidie, a St. Louis Parakeet - Quaker was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Parakeet - Quaker for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Parakeet - Quaker from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Parakeet - Quaker breeders who help with Parakeet - Quaker rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
