My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

California - Madera (Central Valley)
Bea the Beagle is in urgent need of assistance. She was brought into the shelter with a companion after the two of them were found running loose in a small rural town. A larger and well-funded "shelter partner" came to select dogs to bring back to their facility. Bea's companion won the lucky ticket and was loaded onboard the van, but Bea was left behind because she was not putting weight on her back paw. It is not broken, to the best of our knowledge, but might be sprained. Regardless, Bea sits in the shelter and mourns for her companion.

While we are grateful one dog was lucky enough to make the journey to the Bay Area, the woeful cry that was heard by our volunteer made us want to help. The biggest obstacle is finding a foster home for her as we typically do not have people available to foster a 25 pound dog. She is great with other dogs, gets along well with people, and as you can see by her picture she's adorable!

If you think you can help Bea by fostering her for anywhere from 2-5 weeks (we don't know exactly how long it will take to get her adopted) please contact Jennifer as soon as possible. In the meantime, Bea sits at the shelter hoping (like the rest of us) for a miracle.
