Santi's Story...
shoe and dog

(ID #829) Hi, my name is Santi.

I was found wandering the streets as a stray just trying to stay alive. At least here at the shelter I have my basic needs met, like food and water plus a roof over my head. However, I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love me. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me??

I am a young lady, a little over one year old and I weigh around 35 pounds. I have already been spayed, given my basic shots, microchipped, and I am heartworm negative.

The staff here at the shelter think I am a super sweet dog. I will hop on all four paws like a deer when I get excited. I do listen well when a human talks to me.

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. That means they are providing you with a getting started Goodie Bag when you adopt me. The bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD, CD with helpful articles, booklet with training information, toy, and treats. They are also providing a certificate for a free training course held at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Santi, a Cincinnati Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
