Figaro's Story...
COURTESY LISTING - Info. from his former foster home: Figaro is an 11 month old Great Dane. Figaro came to us with scabies, flea allergy, scratched him self bloody and an ear infection. With the proper care, medication and love he is turning into a beautiful young man. He has been neutered and is in need of a good home. He was adopted out but, according to the adopters, after 10 days their 9 year old dog did not get along with him???? Their 9 month old Great Dane and Figaro loved each other. He also had apparently, destroyed items in the value of $500 and had started digging at their privacy they don't want him anymore. He was fostered by me and lived with 7 other dogs of the age between 5 months and 14 years and 2 cats and I had not a single problem or incident ever. Figaro is a Gentle Giant and loves everything and everybody!!! He does not like to be confined and had broken out of my Kennel so I let him stay on my back porch where he was happy and content. Figaro weighs 115 lbs., he's current on vaccinations and Frontline. He has also had a preventive gastropexy. He is currently taking Ivermectin for his demodex and is responding well to treatment. Please email Sissy at for more information or to add Figaro to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Figaro, a Ridgeville Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Ridgeville, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Ridgeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
