Presley's Story...
UPDATE 6/4/2012: Presley is doing well in his foster home. He has begun to put on some weight and loves to play with ball and will play tug of war. He is still a little weak in his hips and is a little hard of hearing and has developed some cataracts. That does not slow him down as he lives with 2 kids ages 9 and 10 who keep him very busy.

/16/2012 Presley was just transferred to us from Animal Control. He is approx 8-9 yrs old. Stay tuned for more updates as he settles into his home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Presley, a Springfield Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
