My name is Chloe and I am a friendly torbie tabby spayed female who is approx 2-3 years old. I was rescued from a high kill shelter where my owner had left me no longer having room in their life for me. My time was up and AdvoCATs came to my rescue.
I am spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, negative for FeLv/FIV, parasite free and litter box trained. I am very friendly and love attention. I am still settling in at my foster home and not sure if I like other cats right now, but it takes time to adjust to a new situations. I do know that I love my human friends and would love to be your best friend.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a small no-kill volunteer-run feline rescue which is a foster-based feline-only rescue group whose mission is to find loving, permanent homes for cats and kittens in the Fredericksburg and surrounding areas in Virginia. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. All of our cats and kittens are fully vetted, tested, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. They come from area shelters, managed colonies, abandoned strays, and from people who can no longer care for them. We actively promote the education of spaying and neutering, trap-neuter-return (TNR) for feral cats and best practices in companion animal care.
We hold adoption events in Spotsylvania County and the Fredicksburg, Virginia surrounding areas.
Prospective pet parents must fill out an application (available from our website or from a volunteer at our adoption event) and participate in a brief interview. We will ask to see rental or condo agreements, as well as vet records for any pets currently living in the home. We ask that all members in the family participate in the adoption process, including responsible older children. We reserve the right to perform a home study if necessary. We will also ask for references in the application.
If the adoption is approved, there is a contract to be reviewed and signed. There is an adoption fee to cover spaying or neutering, all testing and vaccinations, microchipping, and all care up to the point of adoption. New pet parents receive all medical records and a pet parent information packet. Follow-up is done within three weeks of adoption.
We do not adopt kittens younger than 8 weeks. All cats are spayed or neutered before they are released for adoption.
Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Orange Counties along with the City of Fredericksburg.
